Our Senior Partner, Ahmed Dawood, represented our firm at a milestone event: the first-ever U.S. Chamber of Commerce certified business delegation to the Kurdistan Region.
Led by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce with endorsement from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce | U.S. Chamber of Commerce, this landmark mission was a significant step in strengthening U.S.–Kurdistan economic ties.
The delegation, comprising several American companies, spans diverse sectors—from energy and agriculture to AI, healthcare, infrastructure, and tourism. Its mission: to open new avenues for investment, facilitate on-the-ground engagement, and deepen bilateral business relationships.
These discussions focused on advancing U.S. investment and deepening commercial ties in alignment with the Kurdistan Region’s long-term development goals.
Ahmed’s participation follows a formal invitation from H.E. Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, extended during his recent visit to Washington, D.C. This mission is a direct result of that visit and represents a shared commitment to building a resilient, forward-looking economic partnership between the U.S. and the Kurdistan Region.
A special thank you to Steve Lutes and Anna from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce | U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the U.S Iraq Business Council for their leadership in organizing this milestone initiative.
We at BHC Legal Services are proud to support and represent our clients in such strategic engagements, reinforcing our commitment to regional economic progress and international collaboration.
