Ms. Maab Tawfiq is an attorney at law at BHC with extensive experience in engineering and power generation projects.  She is responsible for all legal matters related to Iraq procurement and tenders, tax law, labor disputes, calculation of labor contributions, particularly with the Ministry of Planning and General Commission of Taxes.

Ms. Maab represented clients in over 350 cases in 2018 and 2019 pertaining to labor law and labor disputes.  She is an expert attorney on procurement contracts, particularly with foreign companies and turnkey projects and has negotiated major contracts on behalf of the Iraqi government.  She was one of the first attorneys to negotiate turnkey projects on behalf of the Government of Iraq and according to international standards.

Ms. Maab holds a Bachelor’s of Law from the University of Baghdad
