The National Board of Pensions warned its employees against obstructing the work of lawyers. The board issued a memo to all departments stipulating the necessity of facilitating the work of lawyers and establishing a desk designated for lawyers only.
The memo issued by the Board stressed that lawyer’s work should not be hindered and vowing to hold accountable employees who cause such hindrance.
The action by the Board came as a result of several complaints lodged by the Public Relations Committee of the Iraq Bar Association. Representatives of the Committee met with the President of the Board and explained the problems and challenges facing lawyers when carrying out their duties at the Board.
